AUGUSTA, GA. (WFXG) - Lincoln County Elementary School students are making a huge impact in the community. They donated 273 toys to Toys for Tots.
Twenty-two 4th graders in Ms. Jones' homeroom gave 100 of those toys. They partnered with the Georgia department of public safety to make it happen.

“Each present represents hope. It’s hope to a kid who’s not gonna have any Christmas. Thanks to these kids right here, that’s exactly what they did - they gave them Christmas this year. So, I’m very, very proud of them," said Officer Kyle Calloway.
This is something GDPS does every year - telling FOX 54 over the past decade they’ve given 300,000 toys.
You can still donate - the deadline to accept toys has been extended to December 22nd.
