House fire in Warrenville claims three lives

WARRENVILLE, SC (WFXG) - A mobile home fire on Schley Street in Warrenville has claimed the lives of the three residents who lived there. Two were pronounced dead at the scene and one was transported to AUMC where he died at approximately 9:49 p.m. Thursday night.

The fatalities have been presumptively identified as 80 year old Mavis Willard, her husband, 67 year old John Willard, and 69 year old Marvin Kirby, a friend of the couple and resident of the mobile home.

SLED Arson Team is investigating the fire. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fire crews responded to a house fire in Warrenville late Thursday night. Multiple fire departments were present, and a tanker truck came to help.

FOX 54 had a crew on the scene. They said you could smell the house burning from blocks away. Deputies on scene could not confirm injuries, but reporters did see people from the coroner’s office talking to family members from the house.
