AUGUSTA (WFXG) -The cold front has finally moved across the CSRA, allowing for cooler air to move in overnight. Cloud cover will also decrease throughout the night, making for good viewing conditions for the Orionid meteor shower! There will be 20 to 25 meteors an hour, with you best chance after 3 a.m. looking to the northeast. Temperatures will be in the 50s then, so bring a jacket if you plan on watching away from city lights!
Morning temperatures will briefly fall into the upper 40s Sunday morning, making it one of the coolest so far of the season! Afternoon highs will only make it to the low to mid-60s with plenty of sunshine! Monday morning will be the coldest of the week, with morning lows near 40 degrees!
The first half of the week will be calm, warming back into the low to mid-70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Our next rain chance moves in late Thursday into Friday, with another decent chance of rain on Sunday.
