AUGUSTA, Ga (WFXG) - UPDATE: The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has a arrested a man in connection to a shooting death Tuesday on Wheeless Rd. in Augusta.

The sheriff's office arrested sixty-two-year-old Frederick McNeal of Augusta and charged him with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

UPDATE: The Richmond County Coroner's Office has identified the victim in Tuesday's shooting on Wheeless Rd. as thirty-three-year-old Anthony Lee Flowers.

Flowers was taken to Augusta University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries at 11:17 a.m.

Richmond County deputies are on the scene of shooting at 2302 Wheeless Rd. in Augusta.  The call came in at 10:43am according to dispatch.  One man was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.  It remains an active investigation.
