Hurricane Florence disrupts events across the CSRA

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Hurricane Florence is causing a number of delays and cancellations across the region:

  • Marshall vs. South Carolina college football game in Columbia set for Saturday, September 15 has been canceled.
  • Georgia Southern vs. Clemson college football game in Clemson set for Saturday, September 15 has been rescheduled for 12:00 noon.
  • Middle Tennessee vs. Georgia college football game in Athens set for Saturday, September 15 has been rescheduled for 12:00 noon.
  • East Carolina vs. Virginia Tech college football game in Blacksburg, VA set for Saturday, September 15 has been canceled.
  • West Virginia vs. NC State college football game in Raleigh set for Saturday, September 15 has been canceled.
  • UCF vs. UNC college football game in Chapel Hill set for Saturday, September 15 has been canceled.
  • Southern Mississippi vs. Appalachian State college football game in Boone, NC set for Saturday, September 15 has been postponed.
  • Norfolk State vs. Liberty college football game in Lynchburg, VA set for Saturday, September 15 has been postponed.
  • CSRA college night will be rescheduled for September 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the James Brown Arena.
  • Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival will go on as scheduled. Check the Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival Facebook page for updates on cancellations.
  • Levels Baptist Church in Aiken is closed Sunday, September 16.
  • USC Aiken events are canceled for Saturday, 9/15.   • The Health Fair at Harlem Branch Library that was scheduled for Saturday, 9/15 is canceled and will be rescheduled.
  • First Providence Learning & Development Center in North Augusta will be closed on Friday 9/14.
