Augusta 706ers announce dance team & new players

COLUMBIA COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

The 706ers inaugural season will be kicking off in November and on Friday held a conference announcing the signing of several new players along with tryouts for the Dance Team.

Tryouts for the Lady 706ers Dance Team will be held on August 26th at the Old Columbia County Middle School Gym in Grovetown starting at 1:00 pm.
Aside from that, four new players signed contracts to play this season. Several have local ties to the area including one who says he played at Evans High School. FOX 54 spoke to him and the Owner who is looking forward to November.

"Everyday I get more and more excited. Excited for the City, for these players. They got an opportunity to do what they love in a city that they love," says Scott Killebrew.

"To be here at 26 and signing my first professional contract, I think it's really an indescribable feeling and literally when I was signing the contract the emotion was so crazy and it came right through my pores," says Keenan Mason.
