BREAKING: Shooting death of 38-year-old man ruled 'justifiable homicide'

RICHMOND COUNTY, GA (WFXG) - The shooting death of a 38-year-old man has been ruled a justifiable homicide (reason of self-defense). It happened shortly before 2 a.m. in Rae's Creek Mobile Home Park on Parham Way.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office (RCSO) charged 28-year-old Mario McKie with tampering with evidence during the investigation.

Richmond County deputies say Christopher Walker had at least one gunshot wound. He died on the way to Augusta University Medical Center.

His sister told FOX 54's Jasmine Anderson said he leaves behind an 8-month-old child. Witnesses say they heard him arguing shortly before the shooting.
