The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has confirmed on June 3, 2018, Richmond County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Deans Bridge Road and Barton Chapel Road at the IGA store located at 3355 Barton Chapel Road,  in reference to an injured person.

Richmond County Sheriff Office Deputies were advised by 37-year-old Stovall Walker and 31-year-old Dian Smith that they believed to have seen a body, which was later identified at Ashley Buchanan (deceased).

Upon further investigation,  it was learned that 52-year-old Angela Barnes found Buchanan unresponsive on a bed at her residence located on the 2400 block of Lisbon Road.

Barnes made contact with Smith,  Walker and 38- year-old Kevin West to evaluate Buchannan.

When they found she was not breathing, Buchanan was placed into Smith’s vehicle where Smith and Walker drove Buchanan to the IGA parking lot and then called Dispatch Operators for assistance.

Stovall Walker, Dian Smith and Kevin West were arrested and charged with Concealing a Death.

Angela Barnes is wanted and has an active warrant for Concealing a Death.
