HEPHZIBAH, GA (WFXG) -

A Townhall  Community Breakfast was held Saturday, to keep citizens in Hephzibah informed about what's happening in their community and in the government.

District 4 Commissioner, Sammie Sias, holds these meetings to make sure the people his community know what's going on around them. The topics at mentioned were the James Brown Arena, John C. Calhoun Expressway and the ambulance service.

Sais says many people in the community and himself believe the ambulance service should be controlled by the city and they are working to make that happen.

"We're in the process of doing that now there's many steps that you have to go through the commission passed a resolution in November of last year that we should initiate the process, we did and we are presently now going through that process and eventually it will end up at the state sometime this year for that decision, a  new decision to be made."

These breakfasts are held every second Saturday of the month in Hephzibah.
