UPDATE: Rolling Meadows Dr. murder suspect arrested

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A Hephzibah man has been arrested for the murder of a 15-year-old boy earlier this month in Augusta.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office was called out to the 3600 block of Rolling Meadows Drive at around 11 p.m. Monday, June 4. There, they found 15-year-old Alphonso Hornsby suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

The investigation identified 25-year-old Jamall Octavius Duke of the 4700 block of Laural Oak Drive as the suspect in Hornsby's murder. He has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
