AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WFXG) - UPDATE: The Aiken County Sheriff's Office, with the help of Aiken Public Safety, have arrested William Price.

Price was arrested Tuesday morning at Quality Inn on Richland Avenue in Aiken. A citizen tipped off law enforcement to his location, He was arrested without incident and taken to the Aiken County Detention Center.

According to Capt. Eric Abdullah with the sheriff's office, Price was arrested in the hotel room with 2 other subjects. At this time, they are still investigating as to whether or not they were involved in any crime.

"Witnesses and a 911 caller told deputies that the victim and a suspect were involved in a verbal altercation, which resulted in the suspect shooting the victim," said Captain Eric Abdullah with the Aikin County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office hasn't revealed what that deadly argument was about. Evidence led investigators to believe William Rodney Price IV of Warrenville, South Carolina is the suspect.

Tager's cousin told Fox 54's Jasmine Anderson the two hadn't known each other long.

Investigators said Price left the scene after the shooting. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Tager died from his injuries Monday morning at 1:15 a.m. at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Authorities are now searching for Price, who is wanted for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

"This one was was one of those that they were able to solve very quick and able to identify that subject now we just have to get him in custody," Captain Abdullah said.
