COLUMBIA COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

Pavement resurfacing will soon begin in parts of Columbia County
Drivers should expect lane closures in the area of on Walton's Pass, Walton's Circle and Walton's Court during the project.
The project will begin Monday, May 21, 2018 and last through Friday, May 25, 2018.
Traffic flaggers will be out from 8:00a.m. until 7:00p.m. each day, weather permitting.
This resurfacing project is part of the 2018 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) awarded to Columbia County by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
Columbia County officials remind drivers that whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
