AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

FOX 54 sent First Alert meteorologist Pierce Legeion out on the road again Monday morning. This time, he was at the iconic James Brown statue in downtown Augusta.


Brown grew up in Augusta and would overcome poverty and segregation to become an international music icon. He paved the way for a lot of hip hop and rap artists. and his influence is still felt today. His music remains the most sampled of any artist in pop music.

Forecast: Expect a hot Monday with mostly sunny skies and highs again in the 90's. Some changes ahead for the rest of the week with rain and cooler temperatures. Get your First Alert 7 day forecast here.

    U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham was in Aiken County today speaking out against terminating the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility at the Savannah River Site.  The U.S. Department of Energy wants to terminate the plans for the controversial nuclear facility that has been in the works for over a decade that has already cost several billions of dollars.
