McDuffie County authorities need your help finding a missing teen. Thursday, 16-year-old Daekwon Hines was last seen in the 400 block of Bussey Avenue around 6p.m., according to the police department.

His grandmother called the Thomson Police Department (TPD) Friday. When asked if authorities believe foul play is involved, TPD Investigator Robert Brown said, “I am looking at all possibilities.”

He said he does not think Daekwon ran away. The teen is described as being 5’6’’ tall and weighing 120 pounds. His family said he was wearing blue jeans and a dark black shirt with KFC written in green letters.

TPD Police Chief John Seay told WFXG getting people to talk has been difficult. “We have really hit a stone wall getting someone to come forward saying ‘this is what we know’”, Chief Seay said.

Call TPD at 706-595-2166 if you know where Daekwon is. Chief Seay said tipsters can remain anonymous.
