Flu Outbreak Already Reported

(WFXG) -

At least 36 states across the country have reported widespread flu activity already.

However, experts say it's too soon to how bad the flu season will be this year. The early start of the outbreaks are attributed to the low effectiveness of the vaccine, and possibly the cold temperatures gripping most of the country.

In the last week of 2017, twenty-one states experienced high influenza activity and another five qualified in the moderate range.
