The GreenJackets came up empty on Wednesday in Asheville losing both games of a doubleheader against the Tourists.

Asheville beat Augusta 5-4 in the first game after scoring all of their runs in the first two innings.  D.J. Myers went 5 innings and gave up 5 earned runs.  The GreenJackets did make a comeback scoring one run in both the fifth and sixth innings but it wasn't enough.

In the second game, the GreenJackets dug themselves an early hole falling behind 7-0 after three innings.  Sandro Cabrera pitched 2.1 innings giving up 5 earned runs.  Once again, Augusta's bats tried to get themselves back in the game.  Kevin Beltre got them going with a two-run shot in the fourth inning and Augusta would add on another run in the fourth to cut the Tourists' lead to 7-3.  But their early hole was too big as the Tourists took this one 8-5.

The GreenJackets and Tourists will finish their four-game series on Thursday night in North Carolina.  First-pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
