GreenJackets bats take over in 10-4 win against Fireflies

COLUMBIA, SC (WFXG) -

The GreenJackets offense came up big on Thursday night, as they beat the Fireflies 10-4 in Columbia.  Augusta's win ended their 3-game losing streak.

The GreenJackets offense put up 14 hits.  Most of the damage came in the Second and Seventh innings, as they scored three runs in both.  Sandro Fabian went 3-for-5 with two home runs and Jean Angomas went 4-for-5.  Starter Melvin Adon pitched Six innings, giving up 4 earned runs. 

Augusta is back in action on Friday night against the Fireflies in Columbia.  First-pitch is scheduled for 7:05 P.M.  Caleb Baragar (2-7 4.75 ERA) will start on the mound for the GreenJackets against Justin Brantley (0-0, 0.00 ERA) who will make his second start of the season for the Fireflies.
