GreenJackets lose late lead, fall to Suns 7-6

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - The GreenJackets pitching let another one get away, as they lost to the Suns 7-6 on Monday night at Lake Olmstead Stadium.   Augusta gave up four runs in the Seventh inning.

GreenJackets starter Raffi Vizcaino's final line was 6 innings pitched, giving up 6 earned runs.  He pitched into the Seventh inning but didn't record an out.  Sandro Cabrera replaced him and couldn't hold the lead.  Augusta tried to claw its way back, scoring one run in the Eighth.  Jose Vizcaino Jr. hit a double to left field with two outs in the Ninth inning.  But Sandro Fabian couldn't drive him, as he flew out to right.

The GreenJackets will try to even the series on Tuesday night against Hagerstown.  First-pitch is scheduled for 7:05 P.M.  Garrett Williams (4-2, 2.21 ERA) will start on the mound for Augusta against Tyler Watson (5-4, 4.34 ERA) for the Suns.
