Author uses book to empower young girls

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

Author Latina McIntyre has a new book called "Super Smart Girl, an inspirational book for children. She held a book signing at the Aiken County Public library.
Her book features lessons to help encourage girls to be sweet, smart, respectful, and goal-oriented. The main character, Royal is a young girl who is planting seeds towards becoming a strong and respectful young woman.

She hopes the book will help serve as a learning tool and positive influence on young girls and even toddlers. "I'm hoping that the super smart girl book series will inspire young ladies to think about maintaining a positive self-image of how they are, how they speak, think about what you put on social media, and how you want to be perceived as a young woman," says McIntyre.

McIntyre says her book can be purchased online along with other items.
