TRAFFIC ALERT: Tractor trailer fire closes NB lanes of Deans Bridge Rd.

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A tractor trailer fire has shut down all Northbound lanes of Deans Bridge Road near Inwood Drive.

According to Richmond County dispatch, the truck is carrying lawn equipment. Deputies are on the scene directing traffic. Officials on the scene tell FOX 54 they do not know what caused the fire but believe something went wrong in the truck's engine compartment, causing the explosion.

No injuries are reported at this time. We will update this story when more information is available.
