8-year-old needs Bone Marrow Donor

A bone marrow donor registry drive will be held this weekeND for an  8-year-old boy in Augusta.

It will take place Saturday,  April 22nd at 11:00am to 2:00  pm, and on  Sunday, April 23rd at 12:30pm to 3:30pm at Trinity Baptist Church. The address is 4594 Columbia rd. Adults between the ages of 18 to 44 are invited to come out to see if you are a match for his bone marrow transfusion. Alex Moore was diagnosed with a rare disease called Sever Aplastic Anemia when he was 5-years-old. Since then, he has had over 29 blood and platelet transfusions to save his life.

If  you can't make the event and want to be tested to see if you have a bone marrow match, you can visit www.bethematch.com to request a test kit.

The kit will be mailed to you with instructions and a return envelope.

He is wanted for Theft by Conversion.  Bourne is 46- years old, between 5-foot-2 inches and 5-foot-four inches tall and between 125-135 pounds.  Bourne stole three trucks and almost $8,000 in tools and equipment from Herc Rentals on January 25, 2018.
