UPDATE: The man found shot to death on Holden Street in Augusta on April 9 has been identified.

According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, the victim is twenty-three-year-old Brandon Theodore Mulgrave from Hempstead, New York. His death has been ruled a homicide.


UPDATE: The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying the man who was found shot to death on Holden Drive in Augusta.

The victim is a light-skinned African-American man with a medium-sized afro in his late teens or early twenties. Officials have provided photos of the victim's tattoos, which they hope the public will be able to use to help identify him.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide. Just before 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017, deputies were called to an abandoned home on Holden Street, which is off Central Avenue. Investigators found a man dead from a gunshot wound.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not identified any suspects. We are waiting for the coroner to release the man’s name. Stay with FOX 54 News Now for updates on air and online.
