Police investigating man found in car with gunshot wound in Aiken

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night.

According to ADPS Lt. Karl Odenthal, a call came in around 6:00 p.m. to report a gunshot victim in a car near the intersection of Abbeville Avenue and Chesterfield Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver's seat of the vehicle.

Lt. Odenthal says ADPS also received a call from an area hospital about a second gunshot victim while still on the scene of the first shooting. Investigators believe the two shootings may be linked. Conditions of either victim are unknown. If you have any information related to this incident, please contact Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
