Police investigating man found in car with gunshot wound in Aiken

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night.

According to ADPS Lt. Karl Odenthal, a call came in around 6:00 p.m. to report a gunshot victim in a car near the intersection of Abbeville Avenue and Chesterfield Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver's seat of the vehicle.

Lt. Odenthal says ADPS also received a call from an area hospital about a second gunshot victim while still on the scene of the first shooting. Investigators believe the two shootings may be linked.
