AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

The Aiken Department of Public Safety has a job opening for a Public Safety Officer I. To qualify for the position, you must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, be at least 21 years old, have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record. You must also meet all of the requirements for South Carolina law for law enforcement officers and firefighters.

Starting salary is $39,852.80/year with benefits and job duties include performing general police and fire suppression duties. While children played in the pool and slid on a blow-up water slide, hot dogs were being cooked on the grill. There were prizes given out as well. This was the third year for the event.
