HEPHZIBAH, GA (WFXG) - The Richmond County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the man who was shot and killed in Hephzibah overnight. 22-year-old Wesley Cave was pronounced dead around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27.
Just after 1 a.m., Richmond County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting on Teakwood Drive. That's in a subdivision off Tobacco Road and Windsor Spring Road. The sheriff's office says the investigation is still in the early stages. No suspect identity or description has been released.
The coroner says Cave was shot multiple times. There will be an autopsy in Atlanta later this week.
