Coroner: no sign of deadly trauma for Augusta woman

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Richmond County Coroner is now awaiting toxicology results in the death of 22-year-old Hannah Newman. Coroner Mark Bowen says the autopsy did not reveal any trauma that could have killed Newman. Newman's father discovered her body at her Oakdale Road home over the weekend.

Toxicology tests can take weeks to perform.

Offices for the Richmond County Sheriff and the Richmond County Coroner are investigating the suspicious death of a 22-year-old woman. Coroner Mark Bowen says Hannah Newman was found dead at her Oakdale Road home on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Newman’s father discovered the body.

The coroner says Newman was involved in multiple fights last week. Her body has been sent to the GBI lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.
