Aiken man accused of trying to meet teen for sex

LINCOLN COUNTY, GA (WFXG) - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has made its fourth arrest since joining the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

Sheriff Bruce Beggs says 37-year-old Jeremy Franklin faces of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes. The Aiken County man is at the Lincoln County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing. The sheriff says Franklin was caught on Tuesday afternoon. Investigators say he thought he was meeting with a teen he'd met online. He unknowingly contacted an investigator instead.
