Boil water advisory issued for some Aiken residents

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

The City of Aiken Engineering and Utilities department has issued a boil water advisory for Sassafras Rd. It extends for the next 24 hours.

Other streets impacted by this advisory:
•    T and S Drive (including the side streets off this road)
•    Wadley Drive
•    Sweet Gum Lane
•    Hillview Circle
•    Robinson Street
•    Camp Marie Drive
•    Reynolds Pond Road from Edgefield Highway to T and S Drive

This affects any customers in the area who lost water pressure during a recent pipe break. Customers should boil water for at least two minutes, then allow the water to cool before you use it.

Again, this boil water advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. on Friday.
