GROVETOWN, GA (WFXG) -

If you live in and around Goodale Landing, you no longer need to boil your water. The boil water notice was lifted just after 4 p.m. on Thursday. It had been in place since Wednesday, but FOX 54 has been assured this was only a precaution. The city of Grovetown says the water supply was never compromised in any way.

This advisory is tied to road work. Grovetown is working to widen a road in the Goodale Landing area, which required moving water lines. As soon as the lines were relocated, the city was able to test water samples to make sure everything is safe. Again, the boil water advisory has been lifted.
