AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is returning to business as usual following the boil water advisory that hit Richmond County late Tuesday.
Augusta Utilities lifted the water advisory as of 9:30 Thursday morning after a second round of tests showed no sign of contamination or harmful substances in the drinking water. A spokesperson says the VA Medical Center then followed procedures to ensure water at the facility is safe. Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center returned to normal operations at noon on Thursday.
All surgeries and procedures scheduled for Friday February 12, 2016 will resume as scheduled.
