APPLING, GA (WFXG) - A murder charge has been filed in connection to a recent homicide in Hephzibah. William Faircloth is accused of killing 27-year-old Terry Hufton. Hufton was found dead around 7 a.m. Saturday. His body was in a front yard along Patrick Avenue in Hephzibah.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says Faircloth was arrested after a two-hour standoff on Dozier Road in Appling. The standoff ended between 3:30 and 4 on Sunday morning.
Deputies also arrested 35-year-old Tina Herman. She is charged with possession of an illegal weapon – a sawed-off shotgun.
Faircloth also faces drug charges in connection to multiple warrants that were outstanding at the time of his arrest.
