AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - This week's High 54 Kids does it all!
She's a high school senior with stellar grades and an even more impressive extra curricular rundown.
Meet Emmakate Few.
"One of my favorite quotes that I've tried to live my life by is, 'Leadership is not a position, but an action'," said Few.
An action that she has proven she's prepared to take on.
This high school senior has a pretty impressive resume when it comes to making her rounds across campus.
Few said, "I'm co-president of the student body. I'm also a varsity cheerleader, so I'm very preppy! I run cross country and track."
Add to that professional modeling and being named Miss Georgia High School, you'd think Few would have a full plate.
But, she manages to make room for two of the most important things in her life-academics and service.
"That's really what we're here to do. It's more of a blessing to give than to receive," said Few.
For Few, that entails serving as co-president of the local Red Cross' youth advisory board.
She said being involved, all while ranking second in her graduating, class is something she takes pride in.
"I think it's important to be well-rounded because if you spend all of your time studying, but you never spend a day out in the community doing something for someone else, you miss out on such a huge part of life," said Few.
Few has her eyes set on becoming a student at Princeton University or the University of Georgia next fall.
