Arrests made in double murder in Warrenton

WARREN COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

Two people are each charged with two counts of murder in connection with a double homicide in Warrenton in March.

Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrived on the scene on Mitchell Road on March 4, 2015, to find the bodies of 47-year-old Barry Johnson of Mitchell, Georgia, and 28-year-old Tenecia Posley of Warrenton, Georgia. The two had been shot and killed. Deputies called in the GBI to assist in the investigation.

Thursday, agents with the GBI, along with deputies with the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, made two arrests in connection with the killings. 22-year-old Donovon Raishad Fitts was taken into custody in the morning. In the afternoon, 24-year-old Jermanique Vashon Franklin was arrested.

Both Fitts and Franklin are now in the custody of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
