The body of a jet skier who has been missing for more than two weeks has been found, according to Columbia County Coroner Vernon Collins.

Christopher Lee Harper, 43, was found around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday in Lake Thurmond, said Mark Padgett with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Harper was circling his jet ski around in the water on May 18 and never returned, according to the Georgia DNR. The call came in around 3 p.m. about a missing person at the West Dam Recreations Area.

Harper was a respiratory therapist at University Hospital in Thomson.

The Columbia County Dive Team, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Columbia County Sheriff's Office all responded.
