Family and friends say goodbye to Gail McFadden

Mourners pack in for Gail McFadden funeral

CLEARWATER, SC (WFXG) - Family and friends at the funeral for Gail McFadden Tuesday remembered the teenager as a happy-go-lucky person who loved to dance.

The 16-year-old was killed outside her great aunt's home April 14 on Diamond Street, when someone in a dark blue, four-door Honda Civic sped by and shot her in the stomach.

Investigators said they do not have any new leads, but the family is hopeful something will bring the person responsible to justice.

They are urging the person who did this to come clean.

"You know you are guilty and you know you have done this," McFadden's cousin Tameka Harris said. "It's just best to turn yourself in. If you don't, then you're just going to have to deal with that with the lord."

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the sheriff's office at 803-648-6811 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC (1-888-274-6372).
