AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - A cab driver shot another cab driver Friday afternoon at Augusta Regional Airport, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Alvin Warren, 60, of Sylvania is accused of shooting Herman Ray David, 57, of North Augusta in the shoulder after the two got into an argument about a customer, Sgt. Monica Belser said.

Warren is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

David was taken to Georgia Regents Medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.

AGS Airport Director Roy Williams said authorities responded to the situation quickly and got everything under control.

“We have a large number of law enforcement and life safety personnel at the airport at all times, but particularly during Masters and that's why we were able to provide such a prompt response today,” Williams said.
