North Augusta officer charged in deadly 2014 shooting

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, SC (WFXG) -

A North Augusta Public Safety officer is charged in a 2014 shooting that left a 68-year-old man dead, according to the S.C. Law Enforcement Division. 

Justin Gregory Craven, 25, was arrested Tuesday by SLED agents. He is charged with felony discharging a firearm into a vehicle while occupied. If convicted, Craven could face up to 10 years in prison, a fine of $1,000 or both. 

He is accused of shooting into a car driven by 68-year-old Earnest Satterwhite after a chase in February 2014. Satterwhite was shot and died. 

Craven was booked at the Edgefield County Detention Center.
