Former Georgia Senator Charles Walker spoke with radio personalities Fattz and Cher this morning.
Walker, who just published his autobiography, "From Peanuts to Power," is out of prison after being convicted of tax evasion, mail fraud and conspiracy charges.
Walker says he hopes his story will inspire younger people who are incarcerated to never give up.
"You go and you do the time and you come back home and you can't find a job. If you've been convicted, they won't hire you. That's not just in Augusta, that's throughout the country," Walker said. "One of the reason I wrote this book, I talk about how the criminal justice system; how the grand jury has failed us. I want people to understand that there's a chance. You just have to fight hard."
Walker's official book signing will be at Paine College in a few weeks.
