1 dead after shooting in Bath

BATH, SC (WFXG) - One person is dead after being shot in Bath, according to the Aiken County coroner. The Aiken County Sheriff's Office said two people were shot just before 6 p.m. on Friday evening.

Deputies were called the 150 block of Railroad Street, according to Sgt. Jason Feemster with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office said Cameron Clark, 24, was pronounced dead on the scene from a gunshot wound. Officials said Jacob Humphries, 27, was also shot during the incident and is receiving treatment at Georgia Regent's Health Center.

Investigators have not yet identified a motive for the shooting and are in the process of identifying suspects.

Residents in the area said this was not the first time they have seen police activity in the area.
