AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A man is facing charges after the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said he threatened a narcotics investigator.

Cameron Ryan Paquette is charged with two felony counts of terroristic threat and acts, according to the sheriff's office. He is accused of threatening a Richmond County narcotics investigator who was involved in the arrest of his brother, Brandon Paquette.

Cameron Paquette is also accused of threatening the investigator's wife and a witness in his brother's case. The threats were received at the investigator's house in Columbia County, so the Columbia County Sheriff's Office is assisting.

Brandon Paquette was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of testosterone with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime after deputies served a search warrant at his house on the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Before he was arrested, social media alleged that Brandon Paquette had information about steroid use in the Richmond County Sheriff's Office. When he was originally detained, he hinted that he would co-operate and supply names of deputies using steroids, but the sheriff's office said he never supplied any names or provided any evidence of wrongdoing by deputies.

When he was arrested, he invoked his right to an attorney and declined to answer questions or make any statements, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said there is no internal affairs investigation.
