Georgia-Carolina State Fair opens today

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

 The Georgia-Carolina State Fair kicks off Friday at the fairgrounds on Hale Street. 

Gates open at 5 p.m., and opening day admission is only 25 cents. 

The fair, hosted by the Augusta Exchange Club, runs through Oct. 26.
