MARTINEZ, GA (WFXG) - A portion of Rhodes Hill Drive will be closed for 17 days starting Wednesday morning, Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker said.
The section of Rhodes Hill Drive between Spring Creek Lane and Rhodes Hill Court will be closed from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday through 5 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Drivers will need to use Stevens Creek Road, Evans To Locks Road and Rhodes Hill Drive as a detour route.
Residents who live between Rhodes Hill Court and Evans To Locks Road, along with residents on Rhodes Hill Court and Heatherstone Way, will need to use the entrance off of Evans To Locks Road.
Residents between Spring Creek Lane and Stevens Creek Road, along with residents on Spring Creek Lane and Lonesome Pine Court, will need to use the entrance off of Stevens Creek Road.
The temporary road closure is for the repair/replacement of storm water infrastructure under Rhodes Hill Drive. Officials say drivers should plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting on these days.
