AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - A child is in stable condition at Georgia Regents Medical Center after being struck by a car Sunday evening.
Georgia State Patrol confirms the incident happened between 8:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m, when a family attempted to cross Wrightsboro Road near North Leg Road.
The child darted out into traffic and was struck, according to troopers.
The child, whose identity has not been revealed, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
No charges are expected.
