AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WFXG) -

A deputy with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office was terminated on Sept. 22, Capt. Eric Abdullah said.

Christopher Salley was fired for a "policy violation for his off-duty conduct," Abdullah said.

Salley was involved in a shooting on Andrews Circle off Old Barnwell Road in June, Abdullah said, but the shooting didn't have anything to do with his termination.
