Aiken Co. deputies arrest 4 burglary suspects

AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WFXG) -

Four people are behind bars after Aiken County deputies said they caught them burglarizing a vacant home.

Joseph G. Anderson, 29, Troy A. Pearson, 25, Dealva N. Sheppard, 35, and Stephanie J. Rose, 35, are each charged with third-degree burglary, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Columbia Highway North around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday after a call about suspicious people near a vacant home. When they arrived, they saw four people near the house. Deputies detained two of the people. The two others fled on foot but were caught a short time later.

Investigators found that several appliances, tools and other items stolen from the home were located in a vehicle the four suspects had parked near the home, according to the sheriff's office.

Anderson, Pearson, Sheppard and Rose were arrested and booked at the Aiken County Detention Center.

The sheriff's office said the investigation is ongoing.
