Missing Columbia Co. man found safe

COLUMBIA COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

A man who was reported missing has been found safe, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Todd Caron was reported missing by his daughter on Oct. 7, according to a Columbia County Sheriff's Office incident report. His daughter told deputies she last heard from her father on Oct. 2 when he texted her and told her to take care of his dog because he wasn't going to be around anymore. 

She tried to contact him multiple times but wasn't able to reach him, according to the report. She said it's unlike him to not answer her phone calls for five days.

Deputies said Caron was found by his friends.
