GA Supreme Court upholds man's life sentence for murder

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - The Georgia Supreme Court upheld the life prison sentence for a man convicted of malice murder in the 2003 death of a woman.

Geoffrey Prince was found guilty in 2005 of beating Vanessa Adolph and dumping her body near the Martin Marietta plant in Augusta.

Prince filed an appeal, saying that his trial counsel was ineffective, but the state Supreme Court affirmed the original judgement and upheld Prince's conviction.
