Deputies investigating after intruder forces his way into home

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Richmond County deputies are investigating after a man reportedly forced his way into a home through a window and talked to a young girl before leaving.

The incident happened around 3:55 a.m. Monday on the 200 block of Delmont Street, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect is described as a black man about 30 years old with a think build and dreadlock-styled hair almost shoulder-length. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a green military-style jacket.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the sheriff's office at 706-821-1080 or 706-821-1020 and ask to speak to an investigator.
