The Salvation Army needs your help this holiday season.
They are asking businesses to sponsor a red kettle and match the donations. Businesses can choose from several levels of sponsorship, with different dollar amounts to match and different benefits.
CSRA residents also can help out by being a bell ringer. Every penny put in the kettles will go back to CSRA families who will be in need this Christmas.
"We have a lot of parents who are fretting over just that. They're struggling to pay for the electricity and the water and the groceries," said John Sebby, director of development for the Salvation Army. "That's how ringing the bell helps. It goes to families in the community."
Kettle season kicks off in early November and ends by Christmas Eve.
