House of Terror opens in North Augusta

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC (WFXG) -

Halloween is still a ways away, but House of Terror is now open to anyone willing to put their terror limits to the test.

The attraction features a cometary and five different houses visitors will walk through. One of those houses is entirely in 3D.

About 75 volunteers will help each weekend, including actors, makeup artists, special effects and other technicians to give visitors the scare of their life.

"A lot of people think you could just come and build a haunted house and throw some things in it from Walmart and some other stores and have a haunted house, and that's not what we have here," said John Carter, the founder of House of Terror. "We have a professional, movie-quality, Hollywood set styled haunted house."

House of Terror is open through Nov. 1. Tickets are $20 or $35 for a fast pass. For more information, visit the House of Terror website.
